THE LIGHT IN THE PIAZZA GREEN ROOM AWARD NOMINATIONS
Life Like Company is thrilled to announce that The Light in the Piazza has been nominated for four Green Room Awards this year!
Now in their 34th year, the Green Room Awards honour the best in music theatre, cabaret, contemporary and experimental performance, dance, independent theatre, opera and theatre companies.
A total of 66 awards will be presented at this year’s awards ceremony, taking place at Melbourne’s Comedy Theatre on 27 March.
Our fabulous and much loved Musical Director, Vanessa Scammell, has been nominated for Musical Direction (Music Theatre) on our production of The Light in the Piazza at Arts Centre Melbourne in 2016. Our costume designer extraordinaire, Kim Bishop, has also been nominated for Costume Design (Music Theatre) for his beautiful and stylish work.
For Male in Supporting Role (Music Theatre), our romantic lead Jonathan Hickey has been nominated for his magnificent portrayal of Fabrizio Nacarelli. And the talented Madison Green has been nominated for her portrayal of the fiery Franca Nacarelli. Congratulations to you all on these nods from your industry peers – well deserved!
And to all of our incredible cast and creative team, you’re all superstars. Every one of you deserves a nomination for this incredible production, in our opinion.
The winners in each category are decided by a panel of highly experienced judges, and will be announced at a star studded ceremony to be hosted by Julia Zemiro on Monday 27 March 2017 at the Comedy Theatre in Melbourne.
